The Human colonization on Mars is more likely be, living inside a giant glasses and growing a small amount of food inside the glass house, so we suppose to artificial supplements. If we want to go outside we should wear our large fluffy spacesuit even though we can't stay their for so long time.

But living on Mars is not likely to be this, Mars could end up looking and feeling a lot more like your planet, Earth. But how?

Many scientist believe that dropping nuclear bomb on Mars polar ice may turn Mars into more habitable planet like earth. Even Elon Musk so in a same approach to nuke on Mars.

Many billion years ago Earth was also nearly same as Mars, but it was hot ball of fire. lets see what make Earth more habitable like now and then if this is applicable for mars.

Several billion years ago our solar system is a cold cloud of gas and dust particles floating randomly in a space. the particle may be from the collision of nearby star. later these dust particles started to collapse and gravity pulled everything together, forming a solar nebula—a huge spinning disk. As it spun, the disk separated into rings and the furious motion made the particles white-hot.

The center of the disk accreted to become the Sun, and the particles in the outer rings turned into large fiery balls of gas and molten-liquid that cooled and condensed to take on solid form. About 4.5 billion years ago, they began to turn into the planets that we know today as Earth, Mars, Venus, Mercury, and the outer planets. Since then Earth timeline is divided into four eras Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic eras and many epoch, we are currently in Cenozoic era and Holocene epoch. The time when Earth was a hot ball of fire everything vaporized into atmosphere, in beginning the atmosphere contains only lighter elements like Hydrogen, Helium etc and later some elements are formed like oxygen, sulphur etc at that time the atmosphere was very thick and the Earth core was very hot, so the Earth gravity don't let the thick atmosphere leak into the space. And these atoms like Hydrogen, oxygen and carbon are combined to from molecules like Co2, H2o etc. later the H2o reaches the hot Earth surface in the form of rain and it makes the Earth plates to get cold. The atmosphere has the higher concentration of green house gases which retain the heat and water, Thus the past earth has all the essential resources so it got evolved eventually.

By dropping nuke on the polar surfaces on Mars, make to get hotter and the solid carbon di oxide get vaporized into gaseous carbon di oxide, which eventually trap heat in Mars atmosphere, but the problem is Mars doesn't has magnetic field it cores are freezed, so it eventually leak its atmosphere into space like Uranus did.

And drop Nuclear bomb also cause enormous nuclear radiation which make it not able to habitable, and moreover Earth atmosphere is 100 times more thicker then Mars atmosphere, if we are going to live there we need more thicker atmosphere.

Some scientists think we could release CO2 from the North and South Poles, and this could make Mars’ atmosphere more like Earth’s. But a 2018 study, published in “Nature Astronomy,” found that even if the nukes are successful, it would only increase Mars’ atmosphere to 7% of Earth’s.

Even if we create more carbon dioxide in Mars’ atmosphere, it still wouldn’t be nearly enough to heat the planet. And the planet could seriously use more heat, since its current temperature averages around -63°C (-81.4°F).

so, it will take a century for the red planet to heat up which makes a delay in Human colonization.
